A new wildfire has been deemed out of control by the BC Wildfire Service about 150 km off highway 16 between Moricetown and New Hazelton. 

The Netalzul Creek Wildfire is burning about 5km out of Netalzul Meadows Park, a difficult-to access park off of the Upper Fulton Forest Service Road.

The wildfire is currently estimated at 57 hectares and is anticipated to spread. 

The fire is suspected lightning caused, and is being treated with a modified response - meaning there is currently no immediate threat to values.
