TERRACE, B.C. -- Passenger numbers continue to climb at the Northwest Regional Airport, as the airline industry claws its way back from the Pandemic pit it's been in for 18 months.

Statistics released by the Terrace-Kitimat Airport Society show more than 18,000 passengers boarded or departed from planes at the facility in August, which is over two thousand above July's figure -- and nearly four thousand better than August of last year.

However, the numbers are still a far cry from August of 2019, when over 28-thousand-600 passengers passed through the airport.
