Terrace Riverboat Days Festival celebration officially came to an end and since a fireworks show was taken off of the table for an end of festival spectacle because of potential fire hazards, instead a show involving light up drones in the night sky was how it was ended off this year.
The show was put on by an Ontario company called North Star Drone Shows and this show was just one of around 80 to 100 that they do yearly throughout all of Canada.
But to be clear, the drones used for these shows are not the same as ones that would be in a store like Walmart.
To tide people over until the show started, several activities and vendors were set up at Christy Park while the around 100 or so drones were properly prepared and everyone waited for night to fall.
And at around 11 PM, the show finally began and went off seemingly without any problems.
Plus with how eco-friendly and fire hazard free this type of show is, it doesn't seem out of the realm of possibility that these drones will continue to serve as the closing act for Riverboat Days in the future as well
