On December 12, 2024, Terrace RCMP executed a search warrant at a local residence on Munroe Street. The warrant was obtained as part of an investigation into drug trafficking.
Upon entering the residence, seven adults were located and some of the following items were seized:
- Large sums of cash
- Suspected fentanyl
- Suspected methamphetamine
- Digital scales
- Knives, bats, bear spray
- Other trafficking paraphernalia
Cst Cates stated that although items such as knives, bats, and bear spray may not be illegal items for most people to possess, often times some people may be on conditions not to possess them, while other times, some people deny that the items belong to them. This all becomes part of the investigation.
No charges have been forwarded at this time, however, the investigation is ongoing.
