From Environment Canada: 

Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring.

What: Strong northeast winds 90 gusting 100 km/h near inlets and valleys.

When: Tonight to Tuesday afternoon.

Where: North Coast Coastal regions including Prince Rupert and Portland Inlet.

Additional information: A building ridge of high pressure over the interior of BC will push arctic air and strong winds through the North Coast inlets and valleys starting tonight. Although warning level winds will ease Tuesday afternoon, strong winds will persist well into Wednesday.

High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break.

Motorists, especially in high profile vehicles, may expect hazardous driving conditions on highways subject to strong cross winds.
