The City of Prince Rupert recently announced that both of the traffic lanes on the 6th Avenue Bridge were being closed down starting today.
The closure is happening because of work being conducted on the adjacent gas station.
It began at 8 AM and will last until 6 PM today, although the construction is expected to last only about two days.
In the meantime, drivers are being advised to take the alternate route of Dry Dock Road.
