This past Saturday saw Category 2 open fires and any associated equipment or activities become disallowed in the whole Northwest Fire Centre.
This ban comes in at a time when Category 3 fires and any related activities have also been banned for quite some time now.
Category 1 fires are still allowed for the time being at least and any additional information about the fire prohibitions can be found online at the BC Wildfire Service news bulletin.
