Starting tomorrow at noon, a Category 2 open fire prohibition is set to be put into place over the entire Northwest Fire Centre, alongside the Category 3 fire ban.
Category 2 fires are burns that don’t get any larger than 2 metres in height and 3 metres in width.
Some other activities that are set to be banned as well include fireworks, burn barrels or burn cages, air curtain burners and carbonizers.
The prohibition is scheduled to remain in place until September 25th.
