The City of Terrace has posted a warning about bear sightings on Ferry Island earlier today.
There has been a reported sighting of a mama bear with two cubs at the southern tip of the island, not far from the frog pond parking area.
She hasn’t been seen showing any signs of aggression but residents and visitors are being reminded to talk or sing to avoid surprising a bear, to not walk alone and to be aware of your surroundings.
