The District of Kitimat has put out a notification saying that they are going to be closing down the local swimming pool next month.
The Sam Lindsay Aquatic Centre is set to be shut down from August 4th until September 27th and because of the BC Day stat holiday, it’s last day open will be August 2nd.
The centre is being closed down for close to two months so it can get some annual maintenance done and this year, multiple upgrades are also being done to improve the facility’s safety, reliability, and long‑term performance.
