The communities of Smithers, Telkwa, Houston as well as the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako and the Witset First Nation have come together to issue a Hazard Notice.
This notice was issued earlier today and was done because of the Flood Watch on the Bulkley River and it’s surrounding tributaries.
Residents are being advised to keep away from the river at this time since the potential for flooding in low lying areas is a risk to public safety.
