Starting on September 1st and lasting until the general local election takes place, a list of the registered electors for the District of Kitimat can be inspected by members of the public.
The list is at the District’s main office and before looking at it, people will need to sign a statement that pledges that they will not make copies of it or use the list’s contents for any purposes outside of the ones listed in Part 3 of the Local Government Act.
Registered Electors can also request for their personal information to be omitted from the list or object to someone being on the list, but those requests will need to be sent to either the Chief or Deputy Election Officers first.
