It was announced earlier today by the Kitsumkalum First Nation that Terrace Timber Ltd and Ama Gan have come together to create a new forestry partnership.
This new agreement is said to be a major step forward for forestry development in the Terrace region while also showing that the Kitsumkalum First Nation and their industry partners are both committed to working towards sustainable resource management and economic reconciliation.
This agreement was completed under Bill 13 yesterday and makes Terrace Timber the replaceable harvesting contractor for Kitsumkalum’s forestry operations.
