Prince Rupert announced earlier today that their major 2nd Avenue Bridge project is set to begin this week, most likely on Thursday.
This project is expected to take about two months to fully complete and while construction is ongoing, the bridge will be completely closed off to all vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians.
Suggested alternate routes are said to be available via the bottom of Graham Avenue and 11th/Water Street.
Additional detours and signage will be installed to provide further assistance.
