The Terrace Riverboat Days Festival was in full swing on the long weekend thanks to multiple events, one of which included a visit from our local MLA.
Skeena MLA Claire Rattée stopped by the Happy Gang Centre’s 2nd Annual BC Day Pancake Breakfast on Monday, where she mentioned how this was a switch up from how the breakfast was run last year;
“We decided to do it at the Happy Gang Centre because last year, we did it at my office and it was way too busy. They actually have the kitchen for it here and they were so generous in letting us use the facility and helping out with volunteering so yeah, it’s been really good.”
Rattée also talked about what her favourite part of coming to Terrace was for this particular provincial holiday;
“I think just having opportunities to do events like this, getting to see people in the community, making sure that everybody’s well fed first thing in the morning and starting their BC Day off on a good foot. It’s been really nice getting to see everybody. Lots of familiar faces and lots of new ones too.”
And given how many people showed up, it seems likely that this event could become a regular feature of Riverboat Days in the future.
