The Smithers RCMP is currently in the midst of investigating a notable vandalism case that occurred at the end of last week.
Last Friday night, the Smithers Pride crosswalk was vandalized and while the graffiti has since been removed, Police are still seeking the person or persons responsible.
In their public report on the matter, the RCMP condemned the crime by saying that acts seeking to intimidate or make people feel unwelcome can be harmful beyond the actual physical damage.
