The District of Kitimat recently publicized that a new addition was made to the South Hirsch Creek Trail not long ago.
After consulting with local experts and trail management consultants, the Kitimat Leisure Services team was able to put two fallen Spruce Trees to good use by using them to make a set of stairs.
This was done with the purpose of making an area of the trail that’s prone to erosion more accessible and sturdier.
