At the start of the week, Terrace Search and Rescue lent their support to Bulkley Valley Search and Rescue during a mutual aid call.
A female hiker had gotten stuck on the edge of a cliff while taking an alternate route on her descent while hiking near Smithers.
With help from Smithers’ Silver King Helicopters, a rope rescue was utilized to help save the hiker and they got her down safely without any injuries.
