The Town of Smithers will be closing down it’s Main Street area for most of this evening.
The closure will cover the street from Alfred Avenue to 8th Avenue, as well as 8th Avenue from Main Street to Columbia Drive.
It officially started at 5 PM and will last until 9 PM, with the main reason for it being due to the Fall Fair Parade.
In the meantime, local residents are being advised to plan to take alternate routes in Smithers.
