In the wake of the World Cup’s conclusion, the Town of Smithers is teaming with the Bulkley Valley Soccer Society to prepare to host an annual charity soccer tournament.
The Annual Smithers Co-Ed Charity Soccer Tournament will take place on August 15th at the Chandler Park Soccer Fields, will feature 7 on 7 30 minute long games and is open to anyone who is at least 19 years of age.
The winning team gets to choose what charity they want to donate to.
The deadline to register is August 2nd and the cost to do so is $35 for an individual or $300 if a whole team wishes to register.
