The Town of Smithers is set to host an annual conference towards the end of the first full week of May.
The Minerals North Conference and Tradeshow will be making it’s way to the northwestern community and it will run from May 6th until May 8th.
It’s one of western Canada’s biggest mining conferences that rotates around Northern BC communities and it’s run by non-profit organization Minerals North.
Smithers has expressed excitement at getting the chance to play host to this conference while centring the theme of it this year around “Unearthing Opportunities,” in order to celebrate innovation, collaboration and the region’s economic potential.
Around 450 delegates and trade exhibitors are expected to attend.
